exploring the mindbody connection in therapy

Our 8-session Mindbody Connection in Therapy Group is designed for practicing psychotherapists who are opening up to the idea of bringing the body and the mindbody connection into their clinical work.

This group combines the science of Polyvagal Theory with practical experiential guidance that therapists can apply to their clinical work and personal well-being.

Each 90-minute group incorporates teachings on Polyvagal Theory, a guided practice, room for processing one's own experiences, and consultation for bringing this powerful work to clients.

Group details

For too long, “mental” health has lived in a silo. Our field on its surface is separate from the body. In reality, the mind & body are connected and are in essence one and the same. Over the last several decades through new research and books like “The Body Keeps the Score” (van der Kolk), “Waking the Tiger: Healing Trauma” (Levine), and “When the Body Says No” (Mate), we have begun to open up to this idea of mindbody unity.

Unfortunately, most established Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs have not been designed with this information in mind.

This group program is for all of the incredible therapists out there who have begun their journey of integrating the body into their work as clinicians, and who seek continued education and training in order to feel confident in these new concepts and skills.

In this group, together we will explore 8 different themes and associated mindfulness and/or body-based practices that clinicians can use to support their clients’ overall wellbeing and healing.
