As therapists, we hold space for transformation—but how often do we turn inward to witness our own becoming?
The Rooted Therapist is a consultation group designed for those who seek to deepen their presence, refine their self-awareness, and embody their values in practice.
This is more than professional development or consultation group. It is a space for therapists to engage in self-reflection, explore their attachment patterns, examine their beliefs and biases, balance the energy they give and receive, and realign with their core values.
This is the art of becoming—a continual unfolding of who we are, how we show up, and how we remain rooted in our work.
The Rooted Therapist is a 6-month therapist consultation group for licensed clinicians, social workers, and mental health professionals who want to grow from the inside out. This group is for therapists who are looking for a reflective, trauma-informed, and embodied consultation space to support their personal and professional development.

Julie Reichenberger, MA, LPC, is the founder and owner of DMC, a group practice grounded in trauma-informed care and nervous system-aware healing. With years of experience as both a clinician and group practice leader, Julie has supported therapists through the challenges of burnout, disconnection, and the emotional weight that often comes with this work.
The Rooted Therapist group was born from what she has witnessed and experienced firsthand: therapists need more than training and tools—they need spaces for embodiment, reflection, and connection.
Julie deeply believes that the health and well-being of the therapist is central to the integrity of the therapeutic relationship. When we as therapists take time to look inward, explore our own nervous system patterns, examine our values, and stay connected with others doing the same—we don’t just feel better. We show up better.
This group is a reflection of DMC’s mission: to support therapists in staying aligned, present, and whole—so their work can be sustainable and impactful for the long term.
Through The Rooted Therapist, Julie offers a grounded space to explore questions like:
Why do I show up the way I do in session?
What beliefs or patterns may be shaping my presence with clients?
What does it look like to work from a place of wholeness, not depletion?
Whether you're early in your career or decades into practice, this group offers a return to what matters: your presence, your humanity, and your connection to the heart of the work.
“To care for others sustainably, we must also be willing to care for the parts of ourselves that show up in the room.”
MA, LPC, ACS | owner of DMC
Working in this field demands that we take care of ourselves and seek support and consultation from others to avoid burnout. Group support is a powerful way to build community and to feel understood and validated in our work.
From time to time, we offer supportive, group activities for therapists in the community to come together and share in a healing experience. These might include an easy hike, walk in the park, yoga, sound and vibrational healing, music in the park and more. If you are interested in being kept in the loop on upcoming activities, reach out to be added to our email list for therapists.
