CONSULTATION GROUPS FOR THERAPISTS

CONSULTATION groups FOR THERAPISTS who:

  • Are seeking a consultation group that integrates self-reflection, embodiment, and nervous system awareness
  • Want to explore how their own attachment styles, beliefs, and nervous system impact their clinical work
  • Crave a supportive therapist community that values depth, presence, and authenticity
  • Are feeling disconnected or emotionally fatigued in their work and want to reconnect with purpose
  • Believe that doing inner work is an ethical part of being a therapist
  • Want to feel more grounded, clear, and aligned in how they show up with clients
  • Are interested in integrating concepts from polyvagal theory, EMDR, ACT, Psychedelic Assisted Therapy, somatic therapy, and parts work (IFS) into their personal and clinical growth
  • Are tired of performing and ready to be in a space where they can show up as a full human—not just a clinician

These groups are for therapists who are ready to do the inner work—not just to sharpen their clinical skills, but to deepen their capacity for presence, connection, and integrity in their work. They are formatted to support self-reflection, navigating our own parts that show up in sessions, and to provide guidance on working with more challenging circumstances.

Offering two consultation groups for therapists

The rooted therapist: the art of becoming

Rooting deeper: the art of growing

This 6-month closed group is the foundation for ongoing consultation groups, offering therapists a space to deepen self-awareness, embodiment, and connection with other therapists.

A continuation of The Rooted Therapist consultation experience,  this 6-session closed group is designed for clinicians who want to grow their reflective practice and deepen their embodied awareness in community.

6-month Groups For Therapists who want more for themselves and their clients

By engaging in structured self-reflection, we develop a stronger sense of self-attunement, allowing us to track our own emotional responses, triggers, and unconscious patterns. Reflection also fosters a compassionate witness within ourselves, helping us approach both our own process and our clients’ journeys with greater acceptance and clarity.

The Rooted Therapist is more than a consultation group; it is a space for growth, grounding, and integration. It is a community for those who wish to deepen their self-awareness, align with their values, and cultivate the art of becoming—not just as therapists, but as fully embodied, present, and evolving human beings.

The Rooted Therapist: The art of becoming

True growth begins with self-inquiry. As therapists, we often guide our clients through deep reflection, but how often do we turn those questions inward?

What energy do I bring into the room?
How do my values shape my work?
Where do I feel most grounded, and where do I lose myself?

As therapists, we hold space for transformation—but how often do we turn inward to witness our own becoming?

The Rooted Therapist is a consultation group designed for those who seek to deepen their presence, refine their self-awareness, and embody their values in practice.

This is more than professional development or consultation group. It is a space for therapists to engage in self-reflection, explore their attachment patterns, examine their beliefs and biases, balance the energy they give and receive, and realign with their core values.

This is the art of becoming—a continual unfolding of who we are, how we show up, and how we remain rooted in our work.

Rooting Deeper: THe Art of Growing
 consultation Group

Rooting Deeper: The Art of Growing is a follow-up consultation group designed for clinicians who have completed The Rooted Therapist: The Art of Becoming (formerly The Development of the Therapist). This next phase invites you to continue growing the reflective, embodied, and relational awareness that began in your initial group.

As therapists, the work doesn't stop when a group ends, it deepens. Rooting Deeper offers space to explore the layers of yourself that continue to influence your practice: your nervous system, values, attachment patterns, attitudes, beliefs, energy, and parts.

Through this process, we strengthen our capacity to be grounded, present, and flexible in the room further building our resilience in this work.

Continuing these reflections along with others in a supportive community that understands the work firsthand further deepens our roots in Self, strength and resilience.

Julie Reichenberger, MA, LPC, is the founder and owner of DMC, a group practice grounded in trauma-informed care and nervous system-aware healing. With years of experience as both a clinician and group practice leader, Julie has supported therapists through the challenges of burnout, disconnection, and the emotional weight that often comes with this work.

The Rooted Therapist group was born from what she has witnessed and experienced firsthand: therapists need more than training and tools—they need spaces for embodiment, reflection, and connection.

Julie deeply believes that the health and well-being of the therapist is central to the integrity of the therapeutic relationship. When we as therapists take time to look inward, explore our own nervous system patterns, examine our values, and stay connected with others doing the same—we don’t just feel better. We show up better.

This group is a reflection of DMC’s mission: to support therapists in staying aligned, present, and whole—so their work can be sustainable and impactful for the long term.

Through The Rooted Therapist, Julie offers a grounded space to explore questions like:

Why do I show up the way I do in session?
What beliefs or patterns may be shaping my presence with clients?
What does it look like to work from a place of wholeness, not depletion?

Whether you're early in your career or decades into practice, this group offers a return to what matters: your presence, your humanity, and your connection to the heart of the work.

“To care for others sustainably, we must also be willing to care for the parts of ourselves that show up in the room.”

Working in this field demands that we take care of ourselves and seek support and consultation from others to avoid burnout. Group support is a powerful way to build community and to feel understood and validated in our work.

From time to time, we offer supportive, group activities for therapists in the community to come together and share in a healing experience. These might include an easy hike, walk in the park, yoga, sound and vibrational healing, music in the park and more. If you are interested in being kept in the loop on upcoming activities, reach out to be added to our email list for therapists.
